On March 17, 2023, within the framework of the discipline "Macroeconomics 2", the teacher Abykeeva M.A. conducted a case "Banking system and market regulation" with second-year students of the E-1-21 group.
The case game simulates the activities of the central management bodies of the market economy (the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance), creates an imitation of the impact of the state on the volume of production and profits of a soft drinks company. The study group is divided into 4 parts, which are represented by the National Bank of the KR, the Ministry of Finance of the KR, Managers of commercial banks and Managers of a soft drinks company.
Each of the groups performs its own functions during the case game, but everyone must understand the simulated situation and the meaning of the actions of other groups. This creates a situation of interaction in macroeconomics.
The game allowed students to clearly understand the mechanisms of tax policy, changes in the discount rate, the norms of bank reserves and operations of the central bank.
