State Language Day of the Kyrgyz Republic

On October 1, the Department of Humanities held an event to celebrate the State Language Day.

On September 23, 1989, the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR adopted the Law "On the State Language of the Kyrgyz SSR." Then, in 2004 the Legislative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh renewed the law and gave the Kyrgyz language the status of the state language. To celebrate the State Language Day, the Department of Humanities prepared a program with the 1st and 2nd year students. Students presented musical numbers, dances, told poems, proverbs in their native language. The event was attended not only by students, but also by the administration and teaching staff of ADAM University.
