DEPARTMENT OF MORPHOLOGICAL DISCIPLINES: OPEN LESSON REPORT
On April 14, 2026, Acting Associate Professor I.A. Domashov conducted an open laboratory class in Chemistry for group LD-6-25.
Topic: "Analytical Reactions for Carbohydrates. Amylase Activity of Saliva."
During the session, students investigated qualitative analytical reactions for detecting carbohydrates and studied the enzymatic activity of saliva.
Key highlights of the lesson:
• Analytical Reactions: studying mono- and polysaccharides (the "silver mirror" reaction, oxidation of glucose with copper (II) hydroxide, the iodine test, etc.).
• Practical Part: conducting laboratory experiments and determining salivary amylase activity.
• Results Analysis: discussing the chemical principles of the reactions and their diagnostic significance in medicine.
The class provided students with the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through hands-on chemical experimentation.
