"Per aspera ad astra" is a Latin phrase meaning "through hardships to the stars"

Students studying medicine know this phrase firsthand. They should perfectly know not only human anatomy but also master the terminology of the Latin language. So, our students of Adam University School of Medicine celebrated Latin language Day, preparing presentations on medical topics, and also played a quiz on the knowledge of Latin aphorisms. The results for the academic year were summed up, and students were rewarded with diplomas.

In the end, everyone sang the student anthem "Gaudeamus" together!

Interesting fact: "Gaudeamus" (Latin - let's rejoice) is a student medieval folk song. According to legend, it was created at the University of Heidelberg. It begins with the words "Gaudeamus igitur, juvenes dum sumus" ("Let's rejoice while we are young").

We encourage you to enjoy every moment and share the best student years with us!
