Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of the University Adam Ph.D. Associate Professor G.J. Batyrkanova, takes part in the seminar on “Creating a Technology Transfer Office” of the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the US Department of Commerce organized by Kyrgyzpatent.
The purpose of this program is to develop an intellectual property (IP) policy for the Technology Transfer Office in Kyrgyzstan. Involving higher education institutions and scientific and educational institutions in the process of opening a technology transfer department in the country.
The following questions were raised at the seminar: “Fundamentals of the technology transfer ecosystem” - speaker Ashley Stevens (Boston University), “Technology transfer component” speaker Richard Cahoon (Cornell University), “The role of the private sector in the technology transfer ecosystem”. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, ministries and departments.
